Certification Requirements

To obtain CTI certification, candidates must demonstrate experience in the technical investigations field and successfully complete the certification exam.
The exam evaluates knowledge across multiple technical disciplines used by investigative teams and agencies supporting surveillance and intelligence operations.
Certification is valid for three years, after which members must complete continuing education requirements to maintain active status.

Maintaining Certification

To renew certification, CTIs must complete Professional Development Training (PDT) hours during each certification cycle and submit renewal documentation through the NATIA member portal.
Continuing education ensures that certified investigators remain current with evolving technology and investigative techniques.
